Readme for
Powerware Extensions for IBM Director 5.1

1.0 Known Issues

- For ConnectUPS Web Card compatability, the following firmware versions are required:
10/100 Mb ConnectUPS Web/SNMP Card, v.2.03 and above.
10 Mb ConnectUPS SNMP/Web Card, v.1.39 and above

- The following LanSafe software versions are supported:
LanSafe v.5.0.0.50 and above

- Table name in Director's inventory task displays incorrectly:
On certain systems, the table name "Powerware SNMP Data" displays as 
"TableName.com.powerware.director.inventory.SnmpUPSIdentTable". However, this does not
affect the software's functionality.

-Collect inventory function does not get executed correctly. This is an issue with IBM director 5.1. Install "dir5.10.1_console_patch_windows.zip"
on console machine and "dir5.10.1_server_patch_windows.zip" on server machine. This is available at:

-All UPS Event traps are getting forwarded to respective event filters but associated actions are not executed. 
-Some UPS parameters with Read/write attribure give Set Failure when values are set.

Do one of the following:

* Browse the MIB for upsidentSoftwareVersion
* On the ConnectUPS Web Card, click Configuration and Web/SNMP Card Configuration

3.0 How to Update Your Firmware 

At the Powerware Corporation Web site, http://www.powerware.com, go to Connectivity Firmware & Flash Utility downloads.
